Dr Nikki Cordell


I am an accredited specialist in Occupational Medicine, and a Fellow of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (FFOM), with over 15 years experience in delivering occupational health services, first within the military and subsequently in the private and third sector. 

As Managing Director of Cordell Health, I have overall responsibility for strategy, business performance and organisation of service delivery.  My experience in the military developing regionally based multi-disciplinary occupational health services has been invaluable in designing our current business model. 

In my specialist capacity as a consultant in Occupational Medicine, and in addition to my management role, I lead on providing management consultancy advice to organisations which includes assessing the requirement, clinical specification, procurement and assurance of occupational healthcare services.  I also support the Medical Director with complex case management referrals.

I have a keen interest in medical education and having gained an MSc in Medical Education from the University of Cardiff, I have been very involved in professional development of clinicians providing specialist occupational health services.  This has included being the President of the Occupational Medicine Section of the Royal Society of Medicine (2014-2016) and also being examiner for the Faculty of Occupational Medicine and undertaking the role of Clinical Appraisal Lead for the Society of Occupational Medicine. 

I have been involved in training specialty registrars and occupational health advisors for many years and lecture for South Bank University and University of Glasgow Healthy Working Lives Group.  

Development of research programmes and investment in projects are key in helping us understand better the relationship between health and work.  I am currently involved with work that is being undertaken by the University of Chichester in research relating to fitness for work standards.

I am also the Managing Director for EOPH Ltd (Education for Organisational Performance and Health), our partner training organisation. This company is focused on delivery of high quality, practically based training improving business performance.  Our training is delivered by consultants who have significant experience in a variety of business settings and understand the importance of helping key individuals within a business develop their understanding and skills to deliver improved performance within the business.
